Oops!

Tonight I witnessed the great paint spill of 2009! It involved Lane and a nearly full gallon of white paint. It was a mess!


Clint and I were both in our room getting dressed for an event. Lane was crawling around our room while we got ready. I had a gallon of white paint on the floor because I had been painting baseboards in our room earlier in the afternoon. The lid was on the paint, but not hammered down. Lane crawled over to the paint and somehow lifted and tipped the paint onto himself. Luckily, I turned just as about half of the gallon of paint went flowing out of the can. Clint said we were lucky I saw it happen, we really would have had a mess if Lane had crawled around in it!


Luckily, we borrowed a steam cleaner a few weeks ago and hadn't returned it. We worked on the spot or spots for about 4 hours, missed the event and ate an entire large pizza. We decided that it was emotional eating. Whatever the reason, I think I worked it off with all the cleaning I did tonight!

For now, envision a very smiley Lane and Clint** We both laughed and said too bad I didn't get picture of Lane in the paint for my blog. Maybe we could reenact it tomorrow, but I'm afraid I can't handle another monster cleaning session. Sorry!
