Buckle Your Seatbelts

This is gonna be a long one! My parents were here for Spring Break and we were BUSY!!! Clint was gone to Spring Training in Florida for the first part of the week and came home on Thursday to join in on the fun!

Monday...

We met Clint for lunch and then took him back to work. The four of us messed around town and made dinner at home. I guess I just took one picture Monday, I must have been so excited to have Grammy and Grampy here I forgot to keep my camera out.

Tuesday...

Clint left for Florida. We took our time getting around in the morning and then went out and ran around for about 7 hours!!! Lane was a trooper, he didn't fuss once. We went shopping at the outlet mall.
Lane and Grampy made sure the benches worked.
We went to our new Super Target. Lane got to cart surf, a special treat with Grampy.

Wednesday...
Lane and Grampy matched! Lane has cargo pants and Grampy has cargo shorts. They both wore navy shirts and light colored tennis shoes to complete their outfits. I wanted to do some work on the house while the P's were here so we went to Lowes for supplies.

We came home to get started on our projects and Lane & Grampy played on the floor.

We went out for dinner. Lane loved having lots of helpers! He loved Luby's Macaroni & Cheese as much as I do.

We stopped at WalMart on the way home to get a few things. Lane had to check out Grampy's purchase.

Wednesday was a fun day!

Thursday...

I guess I didn't take any pictures. We worked and worked! Mother and Daddy both helped with the kitchen paint prep. Then, Mom and I painted the kitchen walls and cabinets while Daddy worked on an old Hoosier cabinet I've had in the garage forever. Clint called around 4 pm or so to see what was going on. He was supposed to be in Florida until Friday, but while we were talking he came walking out of the house! We were excited to have him home early. I did get a cute video of Lane playing in my Dad's water glass at dinner.

Friday...
We went to Salado to walk through the shops. I caught Clint and Lane outside playing in the grass.

I also caught Lane and Grammy kissing! Lane has been "giving" kisses for a while now. He doesn't give them all the time, but he always has a kiss for his Grammy.
Saturday...

Was another matching day! Lane and Grampy both wore Madras plaid shorts. After we worked at home, we went to check out the construction at the ballpark. We got to see where Clint's new office will be.

Grampy and Dad enjoyed naps at home after lunch while my Mom, Lane, and I ran some errands.
We grilled out burgers for dinner. Lane and Grampy came walking down the hall to check out what was going on in the kitchen. Lane loved taking his matching buddy with him everywhere.
And, Grammy read Lane his bedtime story for the last night.

Sunday...

We had to say goodbye to Grammy and Grampy. Lane slept for three and a half hours after we got home from Church, all of our adventures wore him out! I cleaned up around the house and enjoyed my new kitchen!
My Mom helped me sew my curtains Saturday. I bought the fabric about 4 months ago, but never could decide exactly what I wanted to do. Once we got the kitchen painted on Thursday, my Mom suggested we make my curtains. She helped me decide what would look best, cut and sew and this was the finished product!
And these are my painted cabinets. They are a deep chocolate brown. I'm still thinking what do do with the backsplash and counter tops, but I love my cabinets!

Be on the lookout for my other finished project my Dad worked on all week! I'll post a pic as soon as I get it painted!
