If Only...

If only I had my camera I would show you a picture of Lane and Clint staring out our back door window at the hail that came down Wednesday night. Lane was asleep, taking his afternoon nap, when the hail started. I ran up to get him because the hail was so loud I didn't want him to wake up and be afraid. He and Clint stared out the window and watched. Lane loved it, he had a huge smile on his face the whole time.

I would also show you a picture of Lane and a one year old little girl, Kara, that we met at the Doctor's office yesterday. Lane saw her playing at a little activity table and went to join her. He was on one side and she was on the other. Soon Lane had his hands on her side so she couldn't play the toys on her side. Next thing I knew, he had subtly walked around the table and squeezed in front of her. He took over her side of the table! The little girl was cool with it, her Mom said she has two older brothers so she's used to it. No wonder the nursery workers at church always take Lane to his own little area of the room every Sunday. They know his tricks! As his Mom, I must say at least he was nice about it - he didn't push or grab poor little Kara. And, I did redirect his attention to another toy in the play area so poor Kara could play in peace.

I do have Clint's camera now, while mine is in the shop, so I do have a picture of our friend Brooke and Connor. They were in town for work and we got to go up to the ballpark to see them. Connor is adorable! He has the cutest spiky hair and amazing blue eyes. He and Lane are gonna be buds!

And, as a bonus we got to take Clint to lunch! Lane loved having Dad out and about with us during the middle of the day.
