When in Oklahoma...

I am in Oklahoma at my Parent's for a few days while Clint is away on a business trip. On Sunday, we took Lane to see Santa. He was so happy to meet him. He especially enjoyed looking up at Santa. I think he's already working on building his relationship with Santa, what a little sweetie!
We got here Saturday evening and began our visit with a bang! I can't believe I'm telling you this...
We went to my Parent's square dance!! We are in Oklahoma after all. All kidding aside, my parents have square danced since they were first married, way before I was born. My memories of childhood include my parents going to square dances on Saturday nights, oh how I loved to see my Mom dressed in one of her poofy skirts and she always smelled so good. They would go to the dance and Sarah and I would get to have a babysitter ,we both had fun evenings. Anyway, it's something my parents love to do, they have great friends they dance with and it keeps them busy and happy. Just think of all those calories they burn during a two hour dance. (In the video below, my Mom is in the cute long black and red skirt and my Dad is in the black shirt. For some reason they aren't each other's partners during the dance.)

The way the dance works, is there are two songs that they square dance to, and between every two dances there is a line dance. Some people take a break and some, mostly women, do the line dance. And since you're wondering, no I wasn't raised square dancing or line dancing but on Saturday I did go out with my Mom between the dances to line dance. I usually look like an idiot trying to follow along, but it's fun.
My sister and her husband went with us. The boys hung out in a corner most of the time. I did get Clint out to do a couples dance at one point, but he didn't last long. It was sweet of him to at least go out there with me.

Stay posted, who knows what else I'll get myself into while we're here! Clint, I hope you're taking care of lots of business in Las Vegas, is that even possible?
