Last weekend we took Lane to Baylor for hopefully his third and final campus visit before he makes his final college decision. As a former college recruiter, I do believe in starting the process early, but maybe 7 months is too early? We really went for the Longview/ Lake Travis State playoff game. As a Longview grad, Clint was very excited to get to announce the big game!
We met Clint's family - his parents, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew at the stadium. They all watched the game and watched Lane while I went out to do some Christmas shopping. Ahh, they joy of jumping out of the car and going right into a store with out having to take out a carseat or unbuckle a little boy. Sure, I felt lost without my constant companion, but I sure got a lot done in two hours!
When I finished my shopping, I went back to the stadium to hear Clint announce the last half of the game. It was so neat to walk up to the stadium and hear his voice! I know it's crazy, I get to hear him announce at Baseball games and other events all the time, but there was something about being back at Baylor and hearing him at the football stadium. I was a very proud wife!
After the game, by the way Longview lost, Lane got to ride his first horse! Now, before you see a cute little furry pony in your mind, watch the video...
We had a great time in Waco!
