A New Low

Now that Lane is sitting up and then pulling up on things Clint and I wondered if maybe we should lower Lane's mattress in his crib. We decided to test Lane out. First we put him in his crib at the height it has been. He immediately sat up and tried to stand. You can see his right foot trying to push up. We watched him and he couldn't stand, we thought it would be a while until he could stand in his crib because the mattress wasn't as hard and flat as the floor.

We lowered it one level and then decided to lower it one more, to the next to lowest position, just in case. Good thing we lowered it. This is how I found Lane in the morning. Happy as could be and sitting up.
I thought we were set. The mattress was at a good level and Lane was safe. Then, this is how Clint found him after his evening nap. Standing up, ready to get up and play.
Looks like I'm going to have to lower his mattress to the lowest level. I just need to know what to do when he starts climbing out of his crib. At this rate, it will probably be next week!
