It's Clint again. Sorry! My parents made the trip in from Longview for a few days to see us.....actually to see Lane - we just happen to be here. Don’t get me wrong, they still are very proud of us and think we are great people, at least I think they do.
The weekend began on Friday at lunch at La Madeline with Kathy and Knute, some close family friends who live in the area. Mom and Steph took off for a little girl-time while I returned to work and dad took care of the little guy.
That evening Steph made a delicious Mexican casserole (or Craparol as Sarah - Steph's sister - calls them). Following dinner, mom and dad took care of Laners while Steph and I hit the town for a date. By date, I mean a trip to Dillard’s to return a shirt, getting ice cream at Marble Slab and stopping by two theaters to find a movie before deciding to rent one and head back to the house. I guess that still constitutes a date, for parents of a 9-month-old anyway.
Saturday included dropping the girls off at a cake decorating event while we drove around finding ways to not be at the cake decorating event. We succeeded! We spent the afternoon on the downtown square in Georgetown checking out the shops and getting the best iced mocha ever.
Oh ya, that movie we picked up on Friday, we did not watch it until Saturday because we were too tired upon returning home on Friday night. Last night we grilled burgers and finally watched to movie.
Which reminds me. We tried chocolate covered fritos while we were in Georgetown. Interesting.

Today was church and a trip to the Oasis on Lake Travis. The parents took off today and in two weeks we will welcome Steph’s parents to Round Rock Express Rock. I’ll work my connections with a local hostel for their accommodations.
Ya’ll have a great week.
